First Big assignment

Malaysia was the host for the sixth D8 Summit, tis year.
Started on the 4th to 8th July at Hilton KL.
It's a meeting held once every 2 years, consists of 8 Muslim developing countries (Malaysia, Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Egypt, Bangladesh, Turkey and Iran) discussing on global issues.

So, I was one of the many journalists being assigned to cover the event.
And i was glad, that i was given a chance to cover such a big event, where i just joined the workforce for only 1 month.

On the 6th July, i was assigned to go to KLIA for the arrival of the President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Me and camera man pun pigi la... and i forgot to bring my camera along. Then, the next morning i went to KLIA again to sambut the arrival of the President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad! It was super early...duh.
And this time, i brought my camera along!
Apa lagi! Bergambar la ! Hehe...

Semangat kat airport runway :D

Me and Arabi, my camera man

Faizol the photographer. Look at his camera... canggih!

And Azman too :)

Nah.. shooting!

Our own Foreign Minister, Datuk Seri Utama Dr Rais Yatim is waiting for the arrival of Ahmadinejad on the red carpet

Here's the big man!
After that we rushed back to Hilton lagi.
At the hotel, they provided us (media) a room where we can get our story done. That room is equipped with computers and internet connection. So, each time after the press conference or anything.. we will type our story there and send it back to the office.

Here's the room, where all the journalists are super busy

Me and Laili, another journalist from bernama tv. She's very helpful. Many thanks to her for teaching and guiding me over there. Or else, i'll be panik giler weh...

And while waiting for any jolok moment outside the discussion room, which is all closed door session...we bergambar lagi!

Camera man from RTM. Bergayanya !!! He sengaja one lor !

With Azeery of RTM

Overall,
I was exhausted during that event. With so many stand by and running around.
But i was really grateful for the experience that i gained over the entire assignment. Where i don't think i can get if i'm working else places.
Thank you for the memory.
I will never forget this!

First outstation job :D

Well,
Last week, i was assigned to go to Penang to cover the Penang Second Crossing bridge!
Yea.. the project is still on despite all the Huu Haa that we heard since like last year.
So, there me and Fitri, the camera man flew all the way from KL to Penang.
The morning itself was spoiled by the flight delayed. Damn!
Just the other day, I covered the MAS press conference where they mentioned they are cutting the frequency of their flights to some places ... u know, cost cutting lar.
Manatau, i really experienced it pulak.
They delayed our flight and cancelled the other one, and decided to cramped all of us into the airbus. Terbang sekali je sehari. Jimatkan!

Rite after we stepped down at the Penang airport, we went to the hotel 1st.. to have lunch and a slides presentation there. Then, only we start our...erm...WORK!

Oh yea,
We were provided to stay in a 5 stars hotel there !
*woot*
It's called The G Hotel! Located just besides Gurney Plaza :D
Here's some random pics tat i took. Haha

The senget pic taken by Fitri

View from my room. Too bad it was raining...

I found that the red bean container lid is very cute.

It's all mine !

Here's the hotel lobby. Where there is a bar in the middle too. I like the chair. Very versatile!

Their interior design is just awesome!

Me and the nicey chair. It's a rocking chair u know.

Me and Fitri :D

Souvenirs for the hotel guests. It's a G shaped candles!

And some Malaysia or Penang's delicacies for the hotel guests too.

If u notice, there's no pic on the Penang Second Bridge or what so ever. I was too busy to snap any pics over there. And i was too busy to get back to the fellow who snapped my pic when i was doing my stand upper there :(
I had to get my beauty sleep like NOW.
Thanks *wink*
